Wow that is so deep! That absolutely is a thought-provoking opening statement! Thank you so much for sharing it, I really appreciate it 🙌 By the way what book was it?
I also find that reading and writing stories helps me cope with the strangeness of life; the challenges, the unfairness, the twists and turns. I can imagine myself reading about a tough time I'm in, enjoying the story instead of becoming bound in the serious weight of it all.
I read because I love learning and imagining new places and people and things. I have been bouncing between non-fiction and fiction the past few months - currently 3 books 'in progress.'
One book though I finsihed 2 months ago really surprised me in that I did not want the story to end. As I neared the end of the book, the author had my fullest interest and attention.
My favourite types of books these days are historical fiction and folktales from around the world. I find the stories fascinating and really fire up my imagination.
I remember my granny telling me stories before bedtime as a child. I remember sometimes my husband and I would also tell each other stories before falling asleep. It's a fun exercise. Thank you for letting me relive that. And indeed, reading does shape us one way or another. We need to spend more time with literature. <3
"I was born in a time when the majority of people had lost their faith in God, for the same reason their elders had had it, without knowing why."
I couldn't help it what an opening to a "novel" and now your piece has sent me places as well.

Thank you so much ❤️
"Book Of Disquiet" by Fernando Pessoa saw it in the picture and as it's one of my favorites, I can't help it ha.
Oh yeah. It's my favourite book! How did I miss it? I can't believe it! I think it's high time I revisit it and give it another read.
Me too!
Love this! ❤️
Thank you so much ❤️🙌
